Transmigrated as the Side Top used as an Emotional Trash Can - Chapter 63.1
Cha Gwonhyeok threw a complicated question at me.
Until just a moment ago, I had been thinking he was as scary as a ghost, so if I carelessly said something else, it could be judged a lie and kill me.
“I think you’re a student at our school.”
So I used an out-of-body way of speaking. It was true, and it didn’t reveal any emotion, so I got through it without trouble.
“Am I handsome?”
“Yeah. I’m jealous.”
“What part?”
“The dolphin on that T-shirt wasn’t originally that broad.”
I lightly pressed the dolphin print on Cha Gwonhyeok’s chest with my finger, where it looked as though it were being punished by having its limbs stretched apart.
Maybe I should’ve given him something bigger. I had opened the closet and handed him whatever I grabbed first, so I felt a little sorry that I’d given him a T-shirt that fit even me perfectly.
“It’s a morbidly obese dolphin.”
Kim Jihwan, who seemed to have more or less finished his performance assessment behind us, grinned as he made fun of the dolphin.
“What do you think of Jihwan?”
Cha Gwonhyeok asked about Kim Jihwan, and rather than me, it was Kim Jihwan who stiffened in surprise and lost his smile.
“Jihwan is love-.”
“Die.”
“Is Jihwan handsome?”
“He’s pretty- He’s a gift from heaven.”
Pretty things are gifts from heaven. How did such a tiny, adorable little guy even pop out?
Of course, he was currently spewing curses and throwing a temper, but if I had a son exactly like him, I don’t think I’d have any other wishes.
He looked this pretty even to me. How precious must he be to Kim Jihwan’s parents?
“What do you think you look like?”
Cha Gwonhyeok had been asking questions about appearances over and over, as though he were holding some kind of Mr. Korea competition.
Baek Hanrim was probably handsome.
He was a side top, so shouldn’t he at least be that good-looking?
“I’m handsome.”
Would you like to restart?
Yes / No
Wow, I really can’t let my guard down with this?
“I don’t know. My features are kind of indistinct.”
“Hm? Yours?”
“Don’t fucking bullshit me, Baek Hanrim.”
When I checked the clock, it was already getting close to 11 p.m., so I asked the kids.
“If you’re sleeping over, should I lay out some bedding?”

“Mm….”
When I opened my eyes, the living room was dark.
I had been sleeping in a bed, but after lying down on the warm floor with the boiler running, I must have melted into it and fallen fast asleep almost immediately.
If I’d known this would happen, I should’ve just said I was tired and gone to sleep earlier. I stressed myself out and racked my brain for nothing.
—如果還有多一張票. (If there was one more ticket.)
Come to think of it, we had laid several large blankets out across the living room and were watching a movie together.
At the line from the Hong Kong movie playing on TV, I lifted my head and looked at Cha Gwonhyeok and Kim Jihwan. The two of them were quietly watching the movie, one lying down and the other leaning against the sofa.
—你會跟我一起走嗎? (Would you go with me?)
I had been looking at them instead of the subtitles, so I had no idea what was happening. Judging from the tone of the movie and the expressionless faces of the people watching it, it seemed to be a fairly emotional scene.
“What are you staring at?”
Kim Jihwan, who was lying beside me, pressed the back of his head against my shoulder a few times as he asked.
“You awake?”
Cha Gwonhyeok looked away from the movie and lowered the TV volume with the remote, telling me to sleep some more.
“Sleep at night. Don’t doze off during the day like some chick that got drugged.”
“I’m already awake. I’ll watch a little more of the movie, then sleep.”
Apparently dissatisfied with my answer, Kim Jihwan replied irritably.
“If you dozed off outside like that, you would’ve been kidnapped already if you were a little kid.”
“Look at the size of me, Jihwan-ah. I’d be the one doing the kidnapping.”
I pulled an arm out from beneath the blanket, rolled up my sleeve, and flexed my bicep. Its firmness was clearly visible compared to Kim Jihwan’s slender arm, since he had no interest in working out.
Kim Jihwan looked at me like that, snapped at me to stop showing off, then bit my shoulder hard.
“What do you think, Hanrim?”
While Kim Jihwan and I were messing around like that, Cha Gwonhyeok suddenly asked me a question.
“Hm? About what?”
“If someone you loved asked you to go with them, would you go?”
He was probably asking because of the movie. Was it a romance movie?
“How much do I love them?”
“A lot. More than anyone else ever again.”
“Me? Or that person?”
“Both of you.”
Where we were going, why we had to go, whether they could go alone and come back, whether I wanted to go there myself. All kinds of questions ran through my head.
If I were actually faced with that situation, what would I do?
“I’m a T-rex.”
“?”
“What the fuck is this bastard saying?”
It was currently 1:42 a.m. Apparently the Bad Liar penalty disappeared once midnight passed, because I didn’t die.
Look at you developing a conscience for once, system.
“If I could love them even if they didn’t love me, I’d follow them.”
That was the answer I gave to Cha Gwonhyeok’s question.
(T/N: The movie they’re watching here is ‘In the Mood for Love’ or ‘花樣年華’.)
