Becoming the Terminally-Ill Villain Who Torments His Disciples - Chapter 17.1
A child who grows by feeding on pain becomes an adult faster than expected.
They become someone who reads the room, quickly judges situations, and learns how to bow their head.
Oscar realized that the world wasn’t kind from a very young age.
Not long after he was born, his parents constantly told him he was useless.
From what he overheard, he was an unplanned child who just happened to come into existence.
From as far back as he could remember, all he ever heard was that he was worthless — so Oscar grew up truly believing he was.
At the same time, he hoped that one day, he might become useful to someone.
While living with such vague hopes, Oscar developed the ability to heal.
Upon discovering this, his parents said, “You’re finally being of use!” and took him straight to the Imperial Palace.
That was how Oscar, at the young age of thirteen, was sold off to the imperial palace.
The first person he met there was Cielo.
He wasn’t particularly warm or gentle, but he gave Oscar just enough attention to care for him.
Oscar loved it here.
Warm blankets and meals.
A place where no violence flew at him.
It was nothing short of heaven.
However, Cielo’s kindness didn’t last long.
“Master, there’s a strange smell in the room.”
“A strange smell?”
“Yes, it smells oddly sweet… huh? I think it’s coming from you, Master…”
As soon as Oscar said it, Cielo’s expression hardened.
“You can smell a scent coming from me?”
“…Y-Yes?”
“Then, you’ll probably present as an Alpha too, won’t you?”
The blue eyes that once held kindness now gleamed with madness.
Alpha.
As Oscar nervously stepped closer, concerned about Cielo’s twisted expression—
A stinging slap hit his cheek, and pain flared.
That was when Oscar saw it.
The look of disgust on Cielo’s face as he stared at him.
From that day on, Cielo avoided Oscar.
He wouldn’t touch him, talk to him, or even look at his face.
“I ruined everything…”
People outside said becoming an Alpha was supposed to be a good thing. That being a dominant trait holder meant you were exceptional…
But Cielo hated it.
He hated being an Omega.
And he hated that Oscar had a high chance of presenting as an Alpha.
It was around then that Cielo began feeding Oscar strange medicine.
It made him feel nauseated and sick, but Oscar couldn’t complain—because he wanted to see Cielo smile again.
Four months passed like that, and by the time Oscar had been at the palace for half a year, Cielo had changed.
Maybe he had suddenly come to his senses.
Maybe he had simply forgotten that Oscar might present as an Alpha.
Cielo began treating Oscar kindly again, as if he’d forgotten everything.
He no longer hit him, no longer berated him, and stopped treating him like something less than human.
“I love you.”
Oscar thought maybe it was fake—but only for a moment.
For a child filled with wounds, the warmth Cielo gave was like rain in a dry desert.
“Good night, Oscar.”
He loved the way Cielo kissed his forehead each night.
That’s how Cielo always was.
If Oscar pretended to be asleep first, he’d kiss his forehead, pat his chest gently, and whisper that he loved him.
If Oscar grew even slightly taller, he’d praise him with a pat on the head.
If he showed the slightest sign of illness, Cielo would insist they rush to the infirmary.
“Wow. You’re really loved, Oscar Pascius.”
“Loved…?”
“Yeah. Loved. I’m jealous. You’re getting all of Cielo’s attention.”
At Ryan’s words, Oscar fidgeted with his small hands and slowly looked up at his reflection in the mirror.
His body, once covered in wounds, was now clear.
He no longer reeked as he had in the past — instead, he smelled pleasant.
His neatly trimmed hair was tidy and clean.
Even the clothes Oscar now wore weren’t something a commoner could afford.
They were luxurious garments fit for nobility.
Cielo had given him things no one would ever give without genuine affection.
“…Lord Doberman.”
Oscar quietly walked over to Ryan as he stared into the mirror.
He looked up at him and, swallowing dryly, finally spoke.
“Master doesn’t make me take that strange medicine anymore.”
“Medicine? The trait-modifying drug?”
“…Yes.”
The medicine Cielo had started giving him at some point.
It always made his stomach churn and made him feel like vomiting.
Ryan had said it was a drug that altered one’s secondary gender.
Turning an Alpha… into an Omega.

I KNEW!! Cielo was projecting his hatred on such a wounded child. Though he was a wounded child himself. Poor Cielo. I hope he is living in Eunwoo’s body free from the shackles of being an omega.
When Eunwoo knows he was giving trait modyfing drugs to a child he will feel so bad
