By Some Unbelievable Twist, I Became the Villainess’s Older Brother - Chapter 26.1
Bang!
The door flew open with such force that it sounded as though it had split in two. Enoch, who had been hanging there blankly, started and raised his head.
Realizing they had finally arrived somewhere, he frantically looked around.
But before he could determine where they were, Enoch was flung through the air. Startled, he reflexively squeezed his eyes shut. Fortunately, he soon felt himself sink onto something soft.
Enoch’s eyes flew open, and he looked around again. The room was several times the size of his own.
With all the splendid ornaments and furnishings and the enormous bed set well away from the door, this seemed to be Adelio’s bedroom.
Enoch immediately scowled. The place he had been brought was bewildering, but something else mattered more just then.
The bed was soft, so he hadn’t been hurt at all, but what sort of person simply threw someone like that? No matter how much Enoch had pulled Adelio’s hair, he couldn’t help feeling irritated by the rough treatment.
He hurriedly sat up and turned toward Adelio.
“Your Highness! No matter how angry you are, how could you throw me like… that? …Wait, no, what are you doing?”
Enoch’s mouth fell open when he saw Adelio undoing the buttons of his jacket one by one. His mind raced. He had no idea why Adelio was behaving that way.
Adelio casually shrugged off his jacket, then stripped off the waistcoat beneath it as well. His hair had been left sticking up in ridiculous disarray, but Enoch was not in any mood to laugh.
Far from laughing, he somehow felt a sense of foreboding. Enoch pressed his lips together and slowly scooted backward. His green eyes wandered anxiously.
“Wh-what are you doing right now?”
Adelio glanced at Enoch as he began removing his shirt. He undid a cuff button with a flick and grinned.
“Hm? Why? What do you think, Sir Enoch? What does it look like I’m doing?”
Enoch trembled faintly like a herbivore cornered by a predator, and Adelio tilted his head and grinned. His eyes shone as he looked at Enoch.
“Didn’t I clearly tell you earlier that all your remaining time today belonged to me?”
“As I recall, I never agreed to that.”
“That’s alright. I didn’t expect you to agree. Besides, look. You’re here in my townhouse regardless.”
Adelio possessed a peculiar talent for bewitching people with words. When Enoch listened to him, he sometimes felt as though this had all happened because he hadn’t rejected Adelio firmly enough. In other words, he somehow felt at fault even when he had done nothing wrong!
‘Wait, but that isn’t the problem right now, is it?’
“Well, um. I only came along quietly because it seemed Your Highness had something to tell me. I-I didn’t imagine a situation like this!”
Had they not been doing exactly that only moments ago? Why was he suddenly stripping? Enoch wanted to shout the question, but forced himself to hold back.
If he provoked Adelio now, the man’s mood might sour and he might do something else bizarre. Adelio nodded seriously at Enoch’s protest.
Yet his hands continued moving all the while. Adelio took hold of his loosely knotted tie and pulled it free, making Enoch’s eyes widen.
“Why, why do you keep taking off your clothes?”
“Hm? My clothes?”
“Yes!”
Enoch nodded vigorously when Adelio tilted his head. Adelio glanced at the jacket tossed carelessly on the bed, then gave a small exclamation and nodded.
He gave a single answer. It was hot. The flat reply left Enoch dumbfounded.
Adelio regarded Enoch with a meaningful expression. Tense all over, Enoch blinked and met his gaze.
Then he suddenly realized that he might be reacting too sensitively.
“…Sir Enoch. Why are you so sensitive? Aren’t we both men? Besides, I’m hot, hm? I only want to take off a few layers.”
“……”
“Good grief. Why is it so hot today? I simply cannot bear it.”
