Beneath his arm, solid tendons could be felt. As he drew closer, the scent of pheromones grew even thicker.

No, wait, we just ate the exact same thing, so why does this person smell so good?

“Do you perhaps have a hobby of drinking perfume?”

As Ha-on muttered whatever came to mind, a hairline crack began to form on Cha Jeongwon’s stiffened face before shattering completely.

“If you lean on me, you can’t even eat candy.”

Cha Jeongwon’s voice was still low and cold. However, a little more strength entered the arm supporting Ha-on.

Although it would be a simple matter of pulling his arm away, he seemed to support him out of concern that he might fall over.

For a person whose words were so cold… Ha-on was confused about what Cha Jeongwon was thinking.

“Yes, yes.”

Ha-on hurriedly removed his hand. His cheeks were hot enough to sting.

It felt like his heart might pop out at any moment. As if trying to shove it back inside his chest somehow, Ha-on took a long breath in and out.

While he was pulling his composure together, Cha Jeongwon threw the fourth dart.

This time as well, the dart hit the balloon with precision.

With a deflation sound, pffft, the paper slip dropped onto the ground with a click.

“Oh, this time a ranking finally came out.”

The staff’s voice brightened with a tone.

“5th place, a beverage exchange voucher.”

The staff unfolded the paper slip as if showing off.

On the white paper slip, a cup-shaped icon was cutely printed. Beneath it, the name of the cafe inside the hotel and the types of menu items that could be used were written in tiny text like sesame seeds.

“Look at this. It works, doesn’t it?”

Ha-on clapped his hands first. Inside his heart as well, a sigh of relief burst out together.

He had intentionally made Cha Jeongwon pay money and throw the darts. He thought that if even one thing was won, it might add a bit of moisture to his dry life where he continuously considered himself unlucky.

However, since nothing came out until the third try, he wondered how he should console him. Thanks to this beverage exchange voucher, he could take a breather for now.

“Congratulations.”

Clap clap clap! Ha-on’s applause was so passionate that Cha Jeongwon, who was staring at the paper slip, shook his head.

Secretly, he also seemed to find it curious. However, Ha-on’s fuss was stronger than that, so he tried to stop him.

“Anyone watching would think it’s 1st place.”

“I like 5th place very much too. Coincidentally, I was wanting to drink coffee.”

At that, Cha Jeongwon rolled his eyes here and there as if calculating something. Reading that thought completely, Ha-on held his two hands tightly together as if telling him not to worry.

“I won’t covet even the beverage voucher you won, Senior. You can just exchange and drink your beverage for free, Senior, and I can just dig through my thin wallet frugally and buy one to drink.”

“Why don’t you just ask me to give it to you?”

“Thank you.”

Ha-on didn’t decline. Receiving the coupon, he tilted it this way and looked at it, then started congratulating Cha Jeongwon again.

Since an opportunity like this was rare, he should do it a lot. A whole lot.

“Senior, congratulations once again. It’s the taste of your life’s first victory.”

“It’s not the first.”

His voice was completely nonchalant, but his hand movement gripping the dart was much faster than before.

Then he looked back at Ha-on again.

“By the way, why are you so good at flattery?”

“It’s not flattery, it’s congratulations.”

“Trying hard to make me feel good isn’t congratulations, it’s flattery.”

Is there really a need to separate that in this situation?

Still, because Cha Jeongwon seemed to secretly like it, he didn’t deny it to the end.

“It will go well this time too. Shall I pat your shoulders?”

Ha-on clenched his fists as if he would really do it for him.

“If you touch me like that, the dart will go astray.”

If only Cha Jeongwon hadn’t refused.

How do you know it’d actually go well with my encouragement…

While muttering his discontent internally, the events that had happened with Cha Jeongwon began to pop up one by one in Ha-on’s head.

They bumped their lips by accident in the elevator. And then Cha Jeongwon’s phone rang, followed by a call saying he won the suite room. And just now when Ha-on misstepped his foot and touched him, 5th place came out.

While he couldn’t be certain just two times, it felt uncomfortable to deny it completely.

Every time he touched Cha Jeongwon, somehow unexpected strokes of luck came along.

Cha Jeongwon said the suite room wasn’t lucky, but…

Just customer attraction.

However, if you put it that way, isn’t it the same right now too?

It’s a hotel, after all.

“There’s one last shot remaining.”
