Even though they were merely sitting at the table and eating, the atmosphere between the two felt as if it were coming to a boil for some reason.

Ha-on let an eye-smile slip and leaned his head out slightly further toward Cha Jeongwon without a word. Meat entered inside his mouth.

It was well-grilled meat. Along with the meat juices, the flavor of the sauce spread across his tongue together. What burst open before that, however, was his heart.

Wow… This actually works.

The inside of his mouth was warm, but the inside of his head was blank.

The senior’s pheromones were vibrating right next to him. Holding hands, sticking right beside him, feeding and receiving food in this situation. The texture of the pheromones leaking out from his own body changed.

It had no choice but to change.

Mixed into the Alpha’s distinct, heavy scent was a tension like a shallow electric current. Between refusal and permission, it seemed to go back and forth on whether to draw the line or cross it.

“It’s delicious.”

After chewing and swallowing the meat, Ha-on spoke.

Ha-on wiped the sauce smudged around his mouth with the back of his opposite hand with a swipe. Even that movement was shown naturally, flowing without exaggerating on purpose.

“Give me more.”

Cha Jeongwon let out a breath as if flabbergasted. A short breath grazed the bridge of his nose.

“This time, the salad.”

At his own urging, Cha Jeongwon’s fork touched the corner of his mouth again.

Ha-on opened his mouth a little slowly and accepted it.

While the refreshing taste of fresh vegetables and dressing spread inside his mouth, his head turned white once more.

Their hands were still overlapping, and Cha Jeongwon’s scent was near.

“Maybe because Senior is feeding me, it’s insanely delicious.”

At Ha-on’s shameless admiration, Cha Jeongwon spilled a breath as if absurd. Then he answered reluctantly.

“This place is good at cooking.”

“Is that so? Ordering Course A was really the right choice.”

While answering with a giggle, Cha Jeongwon looked somewhere. Curious about what it was, he followed his gaze, and it was the people sitting at the adjacent table.

Wondering if they knew each other, Cha Jeongwon’s pheromones wavered minutely.

It was a scent mixed with fluster and… a strange embarrassment.

Only then did he realize that rather than being acquainted with the next table, he had felt their gazes and looked.

“Are you embarrassed?”

Ha-on asked with an eye-smile. Half of it was definitely teasing.

And the reaction showed immediately. For a person whose facial expressions didn’t change much, the color changing was a different story.

Cha Jeongwon’s ears flushed red, and his pheromones trembled.

Far beyond turning hotly flushed, it made even the air inside the restaurant thick and melt-y, but other people were completely fine and only Ha-on was breathless.

At this rate, he wondered if he might suffocate from the pheromones.

Near the end of the meal, Ha-on spoke.

“Senior.”

Until now, he had called him politely as Seonbae-nim, but this time he naturally dropped the formal suffix and called him just Seonbae. Even so, Cha Jeongwon did not feel offended or try to correct him.

“What now?”

Instead, this time he was subtly on guard as if worried about what trick he was going to pull.

Why is he so scared? If anyone saw, they would think I’m going to eat him up.

“Even when dessert comes out, you won’t let go of my hand, right?”

He meant whether he would refuse to let go until the very end.

“Now I’ve come to want to let go.”

“I want to keep holding it, though.”

Only then did Cha Jeongwon reveal a bit of regret mixed with a sigh.

“If I knew it’d be like this, I should have sat with my hand let go.”

Since he had pulled Ha-on over and seated him right beside him, he would have nothing to say.

“Still, I like it.”

And shouldn’t it be the opposite this time?

“Will you keep holding it for me in the future too?”

“If you want it, I won’t let go.”

“On the flip side, what if a senior wants it?”

He thought that a conversation like this flowed surprisingly naturally. However, Cha Jeongwon avoided answering while pretending to drink wine.

“I feel like you’re intentionally dodging the answer?”

As Ha-on urged him to answer quickly, Cha Jeongwon proffered the wine. It was at a close distance, enough to lightly touch Ha-on’s lower lip with a tap.

At the scent subtly wafting up, Ha-on unwittingly opened his mouth and drank it down.

“Wow, this is really…”

He didn’t know wine well, but even when someone like him drank it, it was a wine that he could feel was far too good.

“Do you want to drink more?”

“Yes.”

His lips hadn’t fully separated from the wine glass yet. Just like that, Cha Jeongwon obediently tilted the glass.

This time, the scents of wine and pheromones mixed together and flowed in. At the scent that became even more profound, Ha-on felt as if his mind was turning dizzy.

Heart, be quiet.

Especially today, his heart was busy leaping this way and that.

“I’m in big trouble.”

Ha-on muttered to himself.
