“Your voucher has been confirmed. I will help assign you to a suite room. I will proceed with your check-in right away.”

The front desk clerk proffered the room key.

On top of the counter, the shadows of the two overlapped side by side over the translucent room card key.

Cha Jeongwon let out a short breath instead of answering. Ha-on listened closely to that sound of his breath beside him.

All the while, he pretended to be composed as best he could while writing his name on the documents handed over by the staff member.

There wasn’t even time to pull his senses together. As soon as check-in finished, Ha-on was standing in front of the elevator while holding hands with Cha Jeongwon once more.

As they moved their footsteps along the carpeted hallway, before he knew it, they were in front of the suite room.

Cha Jeongwon opened the door with the card key. As the heavy-looking door opened, warm lighting poured over their heads.

The first thing that caught Ha-on’s eyes was the roomily open living room. A low table and sofa, and behind them, a full glass window was situated.

The city night view he had seen in the restaurant was visible. However, perhaps because Ha-on’s figure was reflected, the fact that it produced a subtle atmosphere was different.

Shifting his gaze after looking at the night view, a neatly arranged bed came into sight. A pure white duvet was spread neatly over the bed.

“Wow…”

Ha-on burst out in admiration.

It was not a suite room for nothing. Everything was cool and pretty.

While Ha-on was looking around, Cha Jeongwon took off his cardigan and hung it over the back of a chair. Instead of a stiff crumpling sound, the sound of the fabric settling down softly echoed.

“Distracting.”

His blunt tone of voice remained the same, but unlike before, his eyes looked slightly softened.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, Ha-on reached out his hand without hesitation.

“Senior. Since we came all the way here, we should hold hands again.”

Cha Jeongwon’s gaze fell briefly onto the outstretched hand. Ever since entering the room, he hadn’t even realized their hands had separated while looking around.

Cha Jeongwon didn’t grab Ha-on’s hand as he moved around, merely watching him. Then, a breath mixed with a low sigh flowed between them, and in the end, his hand slowly overlapped over Ha-on’s hand.

“It feels like wearing shackles.”

“If it’s shackles like this, I could wear even ten of them.”

Ha-on’s answer was light, but the sensation of their fingers naturally intertwining was not light at all.

“What do you want to do first?”

A dry voice was heard from the side. It was not a tone completely devoid of interest. It was closer to the feeling of ‘since you started this, decide what to do.’

“Mm…”

Ha-on tilted his head slightly, pretending to think, and then raised the corners of his lips.

“Look around.”

It’s the entry into the suite room he had wished and wished for!

Just as he was, he looked around the interior.

Should he say it’s like a gallery with vast empty space?

When looking around, there is a sofa and decorative objects as well. Everything is there, but a strangely spacious feeling came through, so he thought of empty space.

“I’m so happy I could die.”

Ha-on bit his lip and ended up unable to hold back his laugh. Something like this cannot be missed. Because it is his hobby, his major, and the material he has to make a living off of in the future.

He began drawing the flow of movement inside his head. Instead of heading straight from the entrance to the bedroom, he designed the flow so that one could look around the lounge and bar. It was not an arrangement to increase the duration of stay, but an order to unwind tension.

The feeling that the space itself speaks to you that your body has to relax first to rest properly.

“Even though you intentionally made it take a detour, it’s not bothersome. Rather, I naturally end up looking here and there.”

Cha Jeongwon, in his own way, looked around the suite room.

Unlike Ha-on, it wasn’t his first time coming here either, but he had a gaze as if seeing it anew.

“The movement flow itself is a single breath.”

“Ah, I see.”

The fact that they were in the same Interior Architecture Design department was far too convenient at times like this.

Because the points catching both of their eyes were similar, they understood each other without needing long explanations, and once words were brought up, the conversation continued right away.

Ha-on lightly brushed the edge of the table with his fingertips while guessing the cutting method and coating thickness, and Cha Jeongwon, listening to that, added a different perspective as if it were no big deal.

The hotel, senses, the angles receiving light, and so on, he spoke while encompassing everything rather than being limited to just one thing.

Unconsciously, Ha-on looked back at Cha Jeongwon. He himself always thinks of the things visible to the eye first, but Cha Jeongwon thinks of everything in its completed form. The scope of their vision was distinctly different.

He was originally a capable person, but at times like this, he came to view him in a new light once more.

However, that seemed to be similar for Cha Jeongwon as well.

“Do you know that your expression changes when you look at things like this?”
