A fearsome aura radiated from Jae-gyeong. If Sang-min did not apologize, it felt like he could immediately subdue him and beat him down. It was as if he were a completely different person.

Sang-min had liked Jae-gyeong because his timid, introverted nature was immediately apparent. His neat, milky-white face and the large, watery eyes that always seemed ready to tear up were exactly Sang-min’s ideal type. On top of that, his weak assertiveness made him easy to manipulate—a perfect man to coax and flirt with. That was how he had thought of him.

But now it was clear why he belonged to Training Guild Team 1. He carried the imposing presence and weight of a high-rank hunter, and his firm expression made him seem less innocent and more difficult, sensitive, and exacting.

Sang-min sulked and stepped aside to avoid Jae-gyeong, while making a pseudo-apology to Da-sol.

“Apologies, Seo Da-sol. For the comments about ‘appearance evaluation,’ ‘belittling,’ ‘comparison,’ and ‘demeaning’.”

It was purely a mocking tone. There was no sincere apology in his attitude. Sang-min was once again insulting Da-sol while making Jae-gyeong look like an overreacting person.

A vile bastard. He had seen many like this with Da-in. Every time, he had quietly handled them himself.

Of course, Jae-gyeong was timid and introverted. He was shy and had less social skills than others. His heart was gentle, and he cried easily. But that was just his personality, not a sign of foolishness or weakness.

“Oh, Sang-min. Let’s enter the training hall together.”

“W-what did you say?”

“I said, let’s do the simulated training together.”

Before Sang-min could respond, Jae-gyeong led him into Training Room 3. The door slammed shut, and the lock clicked into place.

Soon after, Sang-min’s small screams could be heard from inside the training hall. Even with the excellent soundproofing, the fact that his voice leaked out meant he was genuinely yelling.

Da-sol, standing in front of Training Room 2 and preparing to deal with Sang-min, was speechless at what unfolded before him.

Was that really Jae-gyeong? The timid, overly cautious stalker who constantly moped, watched others’ reactions, and often got teary-eyed?

It was so unexpected that it completely changed his perception of him. Yet Da-sol quickly composed his expression and entered Training Room 2.

People were naturally multifaceted. Whatever side Jae-gyeong had, it was none of Da-sol’s concern. He did not want to pay more attention. Moreover…

‘It’s obvious he likes me, damn it…’

The scene had just confirmed, beyond dispute, that Jae-gyeong harbored feelings for Da-sol.

“Ha…”

Da-sol let out a long sigh. He was truly, utterly, completely exhausted.

‘Is there no way to flatten this nose?’

He pressed his finger lightly against his high, straight bridge and small nostrils, thinking how troublesome it was to live as a beautiful person.

Jae-gyeong faced Sang-min squarely using his ability and achieved a flawless victory. Sang-min was a competent Tamer, but his skill mastery was lower compared to Jae-gyeong. Moreover, his emotional volatility kept breaking the flow of his taming.

“You need to practice controlling your emotions. At this rate, someday Sang-min will get into serious trouble in a dungeon.”

“Ah! Stop! I said stop!”

“You know it won’t work to ask a monster to stop. Let’s try again. This time, tame the dungeon monster and have it protect Sang-min.”

Eventually, the training became almost like training Sang-min himself. Initially, Jae-gyeong had unleashed his skills in anger, but over time he became concerned for Sang-min. No matter the dislike, they were fellow hunters and colleagues. Considering Sang-min had managed dungeon runs with such skills, Jae-gyeong found himself unconsciously giving him tips.

Their simulated training lasted about three hours. By the end, Sang-min was too exhausted to speak. Jae-gyeong was sweaty but otherwise fine.

“Good work today…”

He returned to his usual calm and soft-spoken tone, offering a polite farewell.

“Review what you learned today and train hard. Then…”

Jae-gyeong left the training hall. As he walked toward the changing room, he glanced into Training Room 2. It was empty. Da-sol seemed to have already gone home.
