If left as they were, Sang-min and Gam-ja would obviously continue teasing and annoying them. Moreover, if they provoked not only Jae-gyeong but also Da-sol, Da-sol would not hold back and would likely hit them, possibly causing problems for himself. In that case, it was better for Jae-gyeong to issue a peaceful warning first.

With that determination, Jae-gyeong spoke seriously, but as soon as he suggested taking them aside, Sang-min and Gam-ja turned pale.

“Man, I don’t get why Team One is so aggressive. I just said hello.”

Sang-min laughed awkwardly, clearly flustered. Gam-ja nodded in agreement.

“Let’s just go, bro. Don’t bother with them.”

Feeling like they had won some kind of mental victory, they left the gym entirely. Jae-gyeong stared at their retreating backs, confused. Didn’t he just suggest fighting?

In reality, they had spoken because they thought Jae-gyeong would not respond, seeing him as easy to handle. Jae-gyeong just thought they were incomprehensible people. He shrugged and went back to his barbell exercises.

At that moment, while selecting the barbell weight, someone tapped him on the back. Turning around, he saw Da-sol standing there with headphones around his neck.

“Da-sol…!”

Jae-gyeong greeted him brightly. He had thought Da-sol would not even notice where he was while working out, yet he came over first and acknowledged him. They really had become close. Jae-gyeong was deeply moved.

“What did those guys say just now?”

“Huh? Oh… you saw?”

Hopefully he didn’t hear the conversation. Jae-gyeong flinched inside and forced a kind expression. Da-sol’s face hardened.

“They were being idiots, right?”

Thankfully, he hadn’t heard. Jae-gyeong quickly shook his head.

“No… they did a little, but I handled it well.”

“Handled it well? Sure.”

Da-sol snorted and started to leave. Jae-gyeong quickly grabbed his arm.

“Why, why?”

“I’m going to beat them up properly.”

“No, really, I handled it well…! I don’t think they’ll speak to me again…”

“Yeah, right. Let go. I’ll take care of it myself.”

“You can’t use violence…! What if you have to write another incident report?”

Jae-gyeong nervously held onto Da-sol’s arm. Da-sol rolled his eyes.

“I don’t care if I have to write it or not. I can’t just let them keep picking on you every time we meet.”

“No, I really don’t think they will…”

Jae-gyeong held onto Da-sol’s other arm as well and applied a little pressure. Da-sol glared at him with a ‘look at this’ expression. His gaze was frightening, but Jae-gyeong mustered the courage to speak.

“I really handled it well! Shall I explain what I said over lunch with a pork cutlet?”

“…Pork… cutlet?”

Da-sol flinched. Jae-gyeong nodded earnestly, and Da-sol pulled his arm away.

“Fine… then tell me. Let’s hear it first.”

Jae-gyeong felt like he was beginning to understand how to deal with Da-sol. He was the type who could be very cooperative if tempted with food.

“But if it’s no good, I’ll eat first and then find out and deal with it, so just know that.”

“Yes…!”

Da-sol eyed Jae-gyeong suspiciously while rubbing his arm, then went off to do another exercise. Jae-gyeong exhaled in relief.

But… Did this mean they were setting up a lunch appointment?

His heart started pounding wildly. Somehow, it felt like a date… No. Stop thinking weird thoughts. Jae-gyeong picked up two 200 kg barbells, closed his eyes tightly while doing bicep exercises, and tried to focus.

Focus. I decided I wouldn’t fall in love. And Da-sol is Da-in’s younger brother.

He was simply touched that normally stoic Da-sol was willing to go after Sang-min and Gam-ja to protect him. This was probably the kind of excitement he should feel.

    1. Bodyguard Hunter Interview

After finishing their workout and showering at the gym’s facilities, Da-sol and Jae-gyeong headed to a well-known pork cutlet restaurant near the guild. However, before even exiting the lobby, they ran into Hyeon Hee-ro entering through the main gate.

“Where are you two going?”

Hee-ro asked cheerfully. Da-sol seemed uninterested in answering, so Jae-gyeong responded instead.

“We are going to have lunch.”

Jae-gyeong kept an eye on Da-sol. Da-sol rolled his eyes and muttered curses under his breath, probably already dreading that Hee-ro might ask to join them.
