That Face Is the Problem - Chapter 30.2
However, Hee-ro did not say anything about going to eat together.
“Do you know that Da-sol has the bodyguard hunter interview at 2 p.m.? I mentioned it on Hunter Talk yesterday, Da-sol.”
“…Ah.”
Da-sol looked surprised, clearly hearing about it for the first time, and nodded slowly. Hee-ro raised his eyebrows.
“You forgot, didn’t you? Wait, you did read my Hunter Talk message, right?”
“…Yes.”
“Be on the 17th floor at 2 p.m. Jae-gyeong, you can come along too. See you later.”
Hee-ro waved cheerfully and went off to the elevator. Da-sol, however, was much darker than before, slightly pouting his lips.
‘Cute….’
Jae-gyeong thought this unconsciously. Then Da-sol opened his adorable lips.
“Fuck, this sucks…”
Hmm. Da-in and Da-sol are really different people. Jae-gyeong reminded himself of that once again.

They returned to the guild satisfied after eating a full meal of pork cutlets. Da-sol smiled happily the moment he saw the food, and Jae-gyeong was slightly shocked by that beautiful smile. Da-sol ate the massive pork cutlets with such joy that Jae-gyeong could not even properly explain how he had dealt with Sang-min and Gam-ja.
“You really like pork cutlets, huh?”
“Yes.”
While going up to the 17th floor together, Jae-gyeong tried to start a conversation, but Da-sol’s response was cold. After finishing the pork cutlets, he seemed to be in a bad mood again.
“Do you like pork cutlets more, or stir-fried pork more?”
Curious, Jae-gyeong asked. Da-sol glanced at him as if he had never seen such a strange person. But his answer was beyond expectations.
“I can’t choose.”
He furrowed his brows and continued.
“Why should I choose between pork cutlets and stir-fried pork? I just like both.”
“Ah… sorry…”
“No… it’s fine.”
Small talk is really my weakness. Both Jae-gyeong and Da-sol thought that silently. Perhaps to break the awkwardness of two socially inept people, the elevator soon arrived at the 17th floor.
Da-sol and Jae-gyeong entered Team One’s meeting room on the 17th floor. Hee-ro was already sitting there. When he saw Da-sol and Jae-gyeong, he complained with a slightly dissatisfied expression.
“I even asked Jeong-eon to come along, but he said if there are too many interviewers, the interviewee would feel burdened, so he won’t come. I don’t want to be apart from Jeong-eon even for a moment…”
“Ah, really.”
Da-sol replied out of habit and sat in the main seat. There were two chairs at the main seat, so the space was full once he sat down.
“Jae-gyeong, bring a chair and sit next to Da-sol. Should I move it closer?”
Hee-ro kindly arranged the seating for Jae-gyeong. Jae-gyeong reluctantly brought a chair and sat next to Da-sol. The soap scent mixed with the smell of pork cutlet oil came from Da-sol. Jae-gyeong found it funny and slightly bowed his head. Da-sol noticed and asked:
“Why?”
“Uh… oh, no… it’s just that I smell the pork cutlet…”
“You smell too.”
“Oh, right… I guess so… Can I go brush my teeth?”
Jae-gyeong asked Hee-ro. Da-sol also looked at Hee-ro, probably wanting to brush his teeth as well. Hee-ro saw them and laughed loudly.
“Wow, you two have gotten really close. I feel so proud.”
“Can we go brush our teeth?”
Da-sol asked persistently. But before Hee-ro could say anything, the meeting room door opened, and Vice Guild Master Kyung-jin entered with a hunter.
“The first interviewee.”
“Can’t brush our teeth then?”
Hee-ro winked playfully and gestured toward the interviewee.
The interviewee, seeing three renowned hunters in Korea, was filled with excitement. He greeted them politely and sat across the neatly arranged desk as per the interview format.
“Hello. I am Yoon Yi-hyun, applying for bodyguard hunter at Training Guild Team One. I am a C-rank fire mage. It is an honor to meet you. You three are hunters I truly respect.”
Yi-hyun was twenty-four years old and a hunter who had awakened six years ago.
“With C-rank and six years as an offensive fire mage, many guilds would probably invite you. Why did you apply as a bodyguard hunter?”
Hee-ro asked casually. Yi-hyun’s face darkened slightly. As if expecting the question, he replied quickly and seriously.
“Because a team I could join as C-rank has its limitations.”
