The two of them actually went to the department store exclusively for awakened people and ate Pyongyang cold noodles. Da-sol did not look as happy as he did when eating tonkatsu or spicy pork, but he cleared his bowl. On top of that, he apologized for being angry yesterday and even paid the bill.

“Now we will go to the 13th floor.”

Da-sol said this, and Jae-gyeong nodded.

The department store for awakened people literally sold items only hunters could buy, including items usable in dungeons. The higher the floor, the higher the grade of items sold. A-grade items were sold on the 11th and 12th floors, and S-grade items on the 13th. Most training guild members usually shopped only on the 13th floor.

Jae-gyeong had come here before when he had recently awakened, following senior JK guild members. They had quickly bought A-grade items costing hundreds of millions, and even gave Jae-gyeong a high-priced item as a welcome gift. He had been shocked at the time.

He had no sense of how much hunters earned, and he did not yet understand how rare an A-grade hunter was, which made it even more surprising.

But the 13th floor… A place selling only S-grade items. A VIP area that not just anyone could enter, and now he was going there with Da-sol. Jae-gyeong swallowed nervously.

“Why are you nervous? This is just a store. They just sell expensive things. My sister has even come along with me before even though she is not awakened.”

Hearing the word “sister,” Jae-gyeong’s heart skipped. So she had come here with Da-in. The thought of Da-in’s face popped up, making him feel strange. Over the past few days, he realized he had been thinking more about Da-sol than Da-in, which pricked at his chest.

Soon, the elevator doors opened. Dressed in black suits, handsome men stood in line, though it was unclear who would arrive.

“Welcome. Please come in.”

A manager in uniform walked out from between them.

“Customer Seo Da-sol, it has been a while. The person with you is… oh my, Customer Jeong Jae-gyeong. It is an honor to meet you.”

“Ah, yes, yes… hello….”

Jae-gyeong hesitantly greeted them. Da-sol ignored him and spoke.

“We are here to look at two-person pair items. For communication.”

“Right this way. We will find and prepare the items for you immediately.”

The manager welcomed them professionally but kindly. Da-sol followed her nonchalantly, and Jae-gyeong walked behind, only seeing the back of his round head.

The price tags on the items as they walked were written in Korean, not Arabic numerals.

Invincible Vest (S) Ten Billion Won

Disposable Unicorn Summoning Bracelet (S) Five Billion Six Hundred Million Won

Golden-Handed Sword (S) Eight Hundred Billion Won

With so many zeros, they probably used words to prevent mistakes in reading the price.

‘The cheapest is 5.6 billion…?’

Jae-gyeong inwardly panicked. The training guild comes here like it is nothing? (No one had actually said that.) He felt a little intimidated.

He was a successful A-grade hunter with wealth, but he had never dared spend this much on a single item. Besides, as a tank, most items were disposable.

Eight hundred billion at once… What, does the sword cut through the entire dungeon? If not, how could it be priced like that?

Thinking this made his legs tremble and stirred a possessive urge to guard his wallet like he had entered a den of thieves.

“Please have a seat here.”

Unaware of what Jae-gyeong was thinking, the manager kindly led them to a VIP room.

“Would you like any drinks?”

“I’ll have the same as him.”

Da-sol spoke first. Jae-gyeong nodded, choked up, meaning he wanted the same. The manager smiled pleasantly and asked them to wait a moment before disappearing somewhere.

“…This place is really expensive, Da-sol.”

Jae-gyeong whispered into Da-sol’s ear. Da-sol flinched and moved aside, making Jae-gyeong immediately regret it, but it was already too late. He shrank back.

“Sorry… I did not mean to….”

“…It’s fine.”

Da-sol replied briefly with a sigh.

“Stop apologizing. And do not worry about the price. I will pay with the company card. It is normal to buy a few items with it. Did the vice guild master not tell you when you joined the training guild?”

Ah… that seemed about right. Jae-gyeong was uneasy about using a corporate card, so he rarely used it even when given. He had probably overlooked that part.
