That Face Is the Problem - Chapter 75.2
Watching Jae-gyeong list everything he needed to say even while on the verge of tears, the tension in Da-sol’s face gradually softened. In reality, he had intended to order pork cutlet delivery after being discharged, but seeing Jae-gyeong, he changed his mind and decided to eat porridge.
“Fine. Then make some porridge.”
“Do you prefer vegetable porridge, or egg porridge?”
“…Egg porridge.”
Even in the midst of this, Jae-gyeong stopped crying upon seeing Da-sol choose egg instead of vegetables. He really should eat a balanced diet instead of focusing so much on meat, but he truly is consistent… Yet, that consistency somehow brought a sense of relief.
The two of them, with expressions looking much brighter than before, entered the apartment without sharing many words.

“Let’s talk about the resignation letter again.”
Da-sol, who had emptied an entire bowl of egg porridge, spoke with his arms crossed.
“There is a grain of rice stuck next to your lips, Mr. Da-sol…”
As Jae-gyeong pointed out, Da-sol irritably pulled out a tissue and wiped his lips. Staring blankly at those now-redder lips, Jae-gyeong quickly lowered his gaze.
“Let’s get into it now. The talk about the resignation letter.”
“What should we talk about… I already told you everything…”
His eyes cast downward, Jae-gyeong mumbled out. In truth, it was no different from having confessed everything. Had he not bared his entire soul to Da-sol, sharing things he couldn’t even tell Hee-ro?
Da-sol glared sharply at Jae-gyeong before asking.
“But why does that give you a reason to submit a resignation letter?”
“Pardon…?”
Jae-gyeong raised his eyes in surprise.
“I… ruined the team because of my personal feelings… If it weren’t for me, we could have cleared the raid more efficiently, with nobody getting hurt—”
“That we could have walked out of an S-rank jungle dungeon with nobody getting hurt? Do you truly believe that?”
Da-sol cut Jae-gyeong off mid-sentence. A scoffing face was a bonus.
“On the contrary, there are people saying we’re lucky it ended at this level. That we were able to minimize the damage because of Hunter Jeong Jae-gyeong. Thanks to you using that noble self-sacrifice skill that takes away pain, Ri-na didn’t even realize she was injured.”
“I am sorry…”
“Is that something to be sorry about? Ri-na said she actually preferred it, you know? Because it didn’t hurt. Go listen to her thank you later.”
Anyone could see it was a sarcastic tone and a displeased expression. It was impossible not to know that Da-sol was reprimanding him. Jae-gyeong’s shoulders slumped lower and lower.
Seeing Jae-gyeong like that, Da-sol stopped talking. Looking at Jae-gyeong’s dejected figure somehow made a corner of his chest ache, rendering him unable to continue his words.
Why am I being like this? Normally, Da-sol tended to feel pleasure when other men were depressed. Yet, strangely, whenever Jae-gyeong made a gloomy face, a sense of guilt crept in.
“It’s a joke.”
Da-sol spoke with a terrifying expression that did not look like a joke at all.
“Pardon…?”
“I said it’s a joke, so don’t make that kind of face.”
“You make jokes… extremely seriously…”
“That is my style of joking,” Da-sol replied shamelessly. After clearing his throat once, he let out a slightly kinder voice. “Anyway, what I mean is… you don’t exactly need to go as far as submitting a resignation letter, and someone out there thinks they finished the raid more easily thanks to Hunter Jeong Jae-gyeong… That’s what I was trying to say.”
“…”
Jae-gyeong merely blinked his eyes with a dark countenance in the silence. As the silence stretched, Da-sol felt a sensation as if his inside was burning up.
Why isn’t he saying anything? Did I speak too rudely again? No. I spoke quite kindly. But since Jeong Jae-gyeong originally cries a lot over minor things… should I have spoken even more kindly? What does speaking sexier than this look like? Do I have to talk like Hyeon Hee-ro? Gross, I absolutely hate that.
While Da-sol was deeply absorbed in those thoughts by himself, Jae-gyeong finally opened his mouth.
“Do you truly think I don’t need to quit the guild…?”
“Ah, how many times do I have to…! …say that I do?”
Da-sol, who was about to snap, softly changed the ending of his sentence. Taking a deep breath, he accelerated his persuasion.
“The Guild Master told you to think it over again too, and the other team members actually feel comfortable and impressed by it, so why on earth would you quit the guild over such personal feelings? Besides, haven’t you finally adjusted a bit by now? If you quit, they have to find a new tanker again, and don’t you think that itself would be a nuisance to the guild?”
Where his resolution to speak kindly had gone, Da-sol’s tone turned fierce once more. In reality, he was angry. It was frustrating. He couldn’t understand why Jae-gyeong was trying to leave, or what a petty crush and jealousy even were to make him overreact like this.
“But a tanker who cannot separate public and private matters will ultimately—”
“How can a person separate public and private matters so cleanly? Then they’d be a robot.”
Da-sol, who had always maintained the stance that one must strictly separate public and private matters, naturally flipped his position 180 degrees. Then, he let out a sigh. A reality check hit him over what on earth he was doing right now.
“Haa… I will just speak honestly, Hunter Jeong Jeong-jae-gyeong.”
