The Saint Wants to Rest - Chapter 10.2
“May the grace of the Goddess Regnasia be upon you. I am Vermouth, a Holy Knight from Lancia.”
The explanation was strangely detailed.
“Lancia? Lancia, you say?”
It was a place name Ryu Mo-san had never heard of before. Furthermore, a Goddess named Regnasia. Even a pseudo-religious cult wouldn’t typically name their deity that way. It was a name that sounded like something straight out of the fantasy novels he used to read in secret as a child!
As he watched the flustered Ryu Mo-san, Vermouth gave a soft smile.
“To add a further explanation, I have come from another world.”
At those words, Ryu Mo-san’s eyes widened.
“Another world! Do you mean beyond the Gates?”
Even as he shouted loudly, not a single sound could be heard from outside. No one came rushing in to ask what the noise was about. Excessive silence has a way of creating a sense of foreboding. Ryu Mo-san suppressed his anxiety and tried his best to act composed.
“I am not entirely sure about that part myself. I used a magic circle to cross over to this place.”
It sounded like nonsense at a glance, but Ryu Mo-san struggled to listen seriously.
“Do you have proof? Proof that you are a person from another world.”
“I shall show you starting now.”
Vermouth pulled a small book from his breast pocket. The small booklet, decorated in silver against a purple background, was emitting a strange light.
“The proof that the Goddess exists.”
At that moment, the book began to glow.
That day, Ryu Mo-san caught a glimpse of another world through Vermouth. He stayed up all night listening to the story of the existence of another world that had only existed as a hypothesis, and how that world had nearly collapsed. He became convinced that this person was necessary if Earth was to survive the Gates.

Ian woke up late and sat at the dining table. The menu was the same tuna kimchi stew as yesterday. It was the same dish two days in a row, but he had no complaints. He had always eaten the leftover stew from the night before for breakfast.
In fact, the thickened stew was delicious, so he mixed it into his rice and ate it heartily. Continuing his meal with focus, he picked up the remote and turned on the TV. Since the living room and kitchen were connected, he could see the TV at an angle from where he sat.
“I told you not to watch TV while eating.”
“But I have so many things I’m curious about.”
When Ian spoke with a touch of spoiled whining, Choi Jae-heon turned the TV slightly toward him as if he had no choice. In the past, he would have firmly said no and taken the remote away. It seemed the incident of Ian’s disappearance had left a deep impact on Choi Jae-heon.
When he tuned into the news, a woman with a neat appearance appeared on the screen.
[This is a breaking news update. Last night, a portion of the Blue House collapsed. About one-third of the building on the right side has subsided, but the President has been confirmed to be safe. Meanwhile, questions are being raised as to why the Awakened from the Haetae Guild, who were in charge of security at the time of the accident, failed to prevent the collapse.]
[Reporters have arrived on the scene, but both the Haetae Guild and the Management Bureau are currently withholding an official stance on this matter.]
[We will bring you more updates as soon as new information is confirmed.]
At the sudden news, the brothers’ eyes were fixed on the TV.
“Why is the Blue House collapsing?”
At Ian’s words, Choi Jae-heon subtly took the remote and turned off the TV.
“I’ll ask Yoon Tae-gyeom later.”
“Does Tae-gyeom hyung know?”
“He works at the Management Bureau, doesn’t he?”
“I see.”
“So, go back to eating. Don’t forget to chew thoroughly.”
“Okay.”
Ian nodded obediently and continued his meal. The collapse of the Blue House was an extremely strange and dangerous event, yet Choi Jae-heon was too calm. Has the world changed that much in five years? It seemed as if the collapse of the Blue House was considered nothing at all.

The Management Bureau was in an absolute frenzy. The Blue House, guarded by numerous security personnel and Awakened, had been breached! Phone calls from reporters trying to uncover the truth of the matter poured in incessantly. Eventually, the Director of the Management Bureau clutched his head and finally shouted.
“Pull the phone lines!”
“The cell phones are ringing like crazy too.”
“Turn the power off!”
Only then did the surroundings become somewhat quiet.
“Ugh, what on earth is happening?”
The Director of the Management Bureau was an Awakened, but his rank was not high. To be precise, he was an officer who had happened to awaken. Because of that, he knew less about Awakened than others who performed field work. Since his role consisted of nothing more than stamping documents with the help of Yoon Tae-gyeom—who had practically swallowed the Bureau whole—he was weak in the face of such unexpected situations.
