The Saint Wants to Rest - Chapter 18.2
He had to do it. The media would surely play it up on a massive scale. And if Choi Jae-heon were to be injured in the process, perhaps Ian would show himself. They were such a precious family, after all. There was no way Ian would just sit by and watch.
Vermouth wore the kind of smile that the people of Lancia used to praise as being beautiful.
According to the investigation, the results showed that the dungeon suddenly appearing in the sky was not an Intrusion-type. It was an Emission-type dungeon, which is extremely rare among dungeons. This meant that when the time came, monsters would pour out from within in a massive swarm.
Because of this, an evacuation order was issued for Seoul. Since it was unknown what kind of monsters would emerge, the plan was to move the people in the vicinity to other locations. Choi Jae-heon’s house fell within that radius.
“You want me to evacuate?”
Since Choi Jae-heon was so busy, a member of his guild had come to find Ian.
“Yes, I will accompany you to the evacuation site.”
Yu Na-bi spoke with a kind smile. Everyone in the Stigma Guild was someone with a desperate wish. They sincerely congratulated their comrades who had achieved those wishes. Therefore, the family that Choi Jae-heon had recovered was precious to Yu Na-bi as well.
“For now, we must move to the outskirts of Seoul.”
Not only did she lack detailed knowledge of Ian’s abilities, but Choi Jae-heon also wished for his safety. Thus, it was a natural step for a guardian to be attached to him. However, even knowing those circumstances, Ian did not want to leave this place.
“Can’t I just stay here?”
“The dungeon is expected to be S-rank or higher. Plus, it is a type we’ve never seen before, so we don’t know what kind of monsters will come out. The Guild Master will be able to fight with peace of mind only if you are in a safe place, Mr. Ian.”
“But!”
What if Hyung gets hurt? He had seen demons in the dungeon he fell into when he first returned to Earth. And most Emission-type dungeons of that nature had the reach of the Demon King’s Army extended into them. They enjoyed making a mess of the world outside the dungeons.
He knew Choi Jae-heon had become an S-rank Awakened, but Ian had not yet properly seen his brother’s abilities.
‘Still, Vermouth is there.’
No, that wasn’t it. Because that bastard was there, he felt even more anxious.
‘He is the type of guy who would do anything just to meet me!’
Even if it meant destroying himself, he wouldn’t hesitate. But if the target wasn’t himself, that man could become even more cruel. It meant the family he had struggled so hard to reunite with could be hurt or killed because of Vermouth.
‘Why did the Goddess turn a man like that into a Holy Knight?’
In truth, the man’s faith in the Goddess didn’t seem very deep either. It seemed the Goddess had simply chosen the human with the most outstanding talent out of urgency and made him a Holy Knight. If he were truly devout, he shouldn’t have followed Ian all the way to this world where the Goddess does not exist!
Ian bit his lip.
“Can I see Hyung for just a moment?”
“Hmm.”
Yu Na-bi’s eyes rolled around.
“Why don’t you try telling him over the phone?”
It was certainly possible to call since he had a phone. However, he knew he wouldn’t be able to persuade him with words. His brother was also quite stubborn. He wouldn’t want to put the younger brother he had finally reunited with into even the slightest bit of danger.
“Please. It will only take a moment.”
“Then I will report it first.”
“I’m counting on you.”
Well, if it really didn’t work out, there were other ways. He felt sorry for his brother, but he could shake off the people assigned to him and hide somewhere else for a while. Then, once the Gate burst open, he would run straight there. He would surely run into Vermouth at the scene, but so what? Until now, he had acted passively, trying to avoid him somehow, but since it had come to this, he decided to step out boldly.
He would no longer be dragged around by Vermouth. If he had known it would come to this, he would have kept the tools given to him previously. He never imagined a situation like this would occur back then!
Ian waited for his brother, Choi Jae-heon, with belated regret.

Choi Jae-heon, who had returned home upon receiving Yu Na-bi’s contact, first saw Ian sitting on the living room sofa with his legs crossed.
“Ian.”
As he called his name with a low sigh, Ian looked up.
“Hyung.”
“Let’s listen to me just this once. Evacuate for a little while.”
“What if you get hurt or die?”
“I won’t get hurt. I won’t die, either. Why would I die and leave our Ian behind?”
“I don’t want to say such ominous things either. But you know that things won’t just flow that smoothly.”
Ian stood up and approached Choi Jae-heon.
