“V… Vitals! Check the vital signs!”

The medical staff hurriedly checked the monitors.

“Blood pressure is normal! Pulse normal! Everything is returning to its original state!”

It was like magic that rewound time itself.

Exactly 10 seconds. That was the time it took for the patient’s leg to be perfectly restored. The smooth leg, without a single scar left behind, looked even sturdier than it had before the injury.

“Ugh….”

The patient opened his eyes. His brow, which had been contorted in pain, relaxed comfortably. As he regained consciousness and saw his own leg, he gasped in surprise.

“W… What on earth happened?”

To his dazed question, Ian replied calmly.

“Would you like to try standing up?”

“Can I… actually stand?”

“Yes.”

At that firm answer, the patient rose as if possessed. He carefully stepped down from the bed. There was no pain. Strength flooded his leg. After hopping in place as if he couldn’t believe it, he soon collapsed and wailed.

“My leg, my leg!”

Silence swept through the area outside the hospital room.

This was magic, and it was a miracle.

“…A monster.”

Someone muttered softly. It wasn’t an insult. It was a sigh filled with awe. The hospital director looked at Choi Jae-heon with his mouth agape.

“An S-rank healer truly is different. This is absolutely amazing.”

“Yes, that’s right.”

Choi Jae-heon felt proud hearing his brother being praised, but on the other hand, he felt a sense of unease. He realized that Ian would no longer remain solely within his reach. At that thought, he unconsciously clenched his fists.

“Well, that much is natural for you, Mr. Ian.”

Vermouth, who had insisted on coming along, crossed his arms and nodded as if it were obvious.

“The only ones who do not heal after being touched by the Saint are those who are already dead. It is too early to be surprised by the healing of a mere wound like that.”

His gaze held an arrogance that seemed to look down on ‘primitive Earthlings,’ but no one could argue. The result before their eyes proved everything. As Ian left the room, the medical staff and the patient’s family in the hallway parted like the Red Sea to make way. Their gazes were no longer filled with curiosity, but something closer to worship.

“Ple… Please treat my family too!”

“My younger sibling, as well!”

People began to slowly swarm toward Ian. However, they did not approach beyond a certain point, as if blocked by an invisible wall. They simply pleaded from as close as they could get.

“It’s okay. I will treat everyone for you.”

When Ian said that with a smile, bursts of crying broke out from somewhere.

“The Saint.”

As Vermouth slipped that word out, it traveled through the gathered crowd like a wave.

“The Saint! It’s the Saint!”

“No!”

‘That’s not it!’ Ian waved his hands, thinking he couldn’t be treated like a Saint here as well. But the people did not stop. The scene looked like a cult following of a pseudo-religious cult. Even the hospital employees showed signs of wanting to join the crowd.

To awakened beings who never knew what might happen to them, a healer who could snatch them back from the threshold of death was no different from a god.

“Ah, excuse me….”

Frightened by the overwhelming stares, Ian shuffled backward. This wasn’t what he wanted. He knew he would stand out once he started life as an awakened being, but wasn’t this too much? It reminded him of his time in Lancia.

Ian stepped back and grabbed the hem of Choi Jae-heon’s clothes.

“Hyung, I want to go home.”

As Ian whispered with a tearful face, Choi Jae-heon wrapped an arm around his shoulder as if he understood.

“Alright, let’s go.”

Choi Jae-heon picked Ian up and made his way through the crowd.

Ian’s S-rank debut ended spectacularly, turning the hospital upside down. However, Ian did not know. He had no idea how many more annoying and tiring things were waiting for him once this news spread.

***

That night, the South Korean awakened community exploded.

[Breaking News] Stigma officially confirmed to have an S-rank healer! A miracle occurred at the Administration Bureau hospital!

[Video] A patient given up on by the Bureau’s medical staff healed in 10 seconds?

The internet was completely plastered with stories about Ian. And that news spread even across the ocean.

On the other side of the globe, in New York.

In a high-rise penthouse in Manhattan, a man with blond hair and blue eyes was staring at a screen. He was Alexander Gray, the Master of the #1 ranked American guild, ‘Empire.’

“Found it.”

“Boss, we received a report that an S-rank healer appeared in Korea. It seems his healing abilities are extraordinary.”

“No. No, that’s not it. This isn’t something that can be described with such words. This isn’t simple mana. It’s ‘Divine Power’.”

Alexander pointed his finger at the golden light on the screen.
